So, this year I decided to give friends and neighbors (and mailman and garbage/recycle collectors) Holiday Chocolate Sauce. It is very easy and our favorite treat to heat up and pour over ice cream (especially Peppermint). Here is the recipe:
1 box of confectioners sugar
1 stick of butter
6 tablespoons of milk
4 tablespoons of Hersheys chocolate powder
2 teaspoons of vanilla extract

Melt the butter on medium heat. Add the milk, chocolate and vanilla, stirring constantly. Then slowly add the powdered sugar and stir until smooth. Pour into 8 oz. canning jars and I topped with a small square of fabric. I put labels on the front that say "Holiday Chocolate Sauce, keep refrigerated and then heat slowly and pour." This is a favorite family recipe and my two sisters make it every year! They are the true experts.
